This log splitter works great on smaller logs to make perfect kindling. We tried it on larger logs and
it eventually worked after lots of work, so not worth the trouble on larger ones. I am glad I bought it
for the convenience of kindling.

This is a great little wood splitter but not great for big wood splitter. If you have small, in diameter wood that's seasoned and relatively free of knots then you won't have a problem. If you start getting into some of the heftier pieces then you need to put your weight into it and you will need to have good balance because your whole body has to come off the ground. I worried that I would bend it but so far I haven't. It's certainly easier than an ax and easier on the back, but only for small pieces of wood.

This Quality Craft Log Splitter is a gem. It is easy to use, stores in a small space and performs it's task with ease. I am very happy with my purchase. It is built with a high quality steel parts, the foot operated splitter is quick, most logs require two to three steps before they crack open. I would recommend this for anyone who has a need for some log splitting.
